Doing what we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus + 5 tips to keep safe and healthy

By now most people know about the COVID-19 Coronavirus and the impacts it can have on the elderly and those with immune system weaknesses.

As part of our commitment to good health and well being we are fumigating ALL our stock deliveries from our suppliers with Antibacterial/Anti-viral spray.

We will take any reasonable measures to slow the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus but there are some things you can do too to keep yourself and family safe from contracting it.

Here are 5 tips to prevent the spread of germs and viruses

1. Washing your hands correctly

The best way to reduce the spread of germs and viruses is to wash your hands correctly using a good quality hand soap. Here is a diagram of the best way to wash your hands.

2. Avoid events or functions with large numbers of people in close proximity

Stay at home where possible and reduce the amount of interactions you have with other people. If you need to go grocery shopping avoid using cash as a payment method and bring your own bags.

3. Avoid touching your mouth, nose, ears and face.

One of the easiest ways to avoid contracting viruses is to avoid touching your face. If you struggle to do this wear a mask. It may not be the most flattering fashion statement but it might just save yours or a loved ones life!

4. Cough and sneeze into a tissue or into your elbow NOT your hands!

Where possible, cough and sneeze into a tissue and dispose of the tissue appropriately. If you do not have a tissue close by you should cough into your elbow, NOT your hands.

5. Disinfect surfaces and dispose of infected tissues and handkerchiefs

After cleaning common surfaces use an antibacterial spray to disinfect the area and make sure to dispose of any used tissues or towels lying around. This is a simple safe guard to ensure a healthy home and happy and healthy you!

If we can all stick to these 5 tips we can get on top of fighting germs and viruses!
