These endmills perform well for very detailed engravings on a wide range of materials incuding timbers, plastics and soft alloys. The tapered design of these endmills creates a unique finish where the same result cannot be achieved with a flat bit. The 2 flute design makes for a more robust 'V' engraving bit and will generally keep it's tip much longer than a normal 1 flute variety.
These endmills are made from solid carbide and have no coating at all.

Please Note
Take care to go quite shallow on the finer tipped versions as they can lose their tip if depth of cut is too high, especially on metals. We recommend using surface lubricant to achieve a cleaner finish and prolong tool life.
With a shallow depth of cut these endmills can be run at quite moderate feed rates but experimentation will be required for different materials.
