- Support FAQsWe have been made aware of an issue affecting some Commander users where upon connecting to their Nighthawk after the latest Commander update a box pops up informing the user of a Web Portal Update from version 0.00 to 1.5. Rarely this update will fail with a warning message, or it may look like it has completed successfully. When the user attempts to reconnect to their Nighthawk the update box pops up again with the same information prompting a Web Portal update and re-occurs every time a connection is made. If you are have issues with Commander after an update the first thing to try is forcing Commander to re-download and apply the newest version which will override any potentially troublesome files which were downloaded with the update causing the issue. This will not delete any of your custom files like buttons, macros, machine settings etc. You can force Commander to re-download and re-apply the update very easily from within the Help menu. Please note you will need to be connected to the internet before re-launching Commander! If you normally connect to your Nighthawk via Direct Access WiFi you will need to disconnect from your Nighthawk and reconnect to the internet. Step 1: Make sure you’re connected to the internet Step 2: Open Commander. You do not need to connect to your controller at this point. Step 3: Open the Help menu using the button at the top-right of the Commander window and look for the “Reset Commander Version” button. Click on it to open the version resetter program. Step 4: Click the “Reset” button, then click OK on the box that pops up. This will set Commander’s version to 000 instead of the latest version. Step 5: Click “Relaunch Commander” to force Commander to close and re-open. If you get a box asking if you would like to close Commander click Yes, then click Yes on the next box which informs you that there is a new update available. You will see a progress bar which will fill as the new update is re-downloaded and re-applied then Commander will re-open. Step 6: Reconnect to your controller as you normally would and you should no longer see the Web Portal Update error.Like
