Designed in-house by our R&D team, we have done our best to address the requests of the CNC community to bring a truly awesome and robust CNC controller to the market.
The Nighthawk CNC Controller is suitable for CNC Routers, CNC Mills, CNC Laser Engravers/Cutters, CNC Plasma Cutters and other robotic projects whether they're DIY or pre-built.

Our Nighthawk CNC Controller has been designed in tandem with our CNC3D Commander control software to take full advantage of every feature available to both!
There are 2 form factors of the Nighthawk CNC Controller available – Full Stack and Control Card Only.

The Nighthawk controller was originally designed to power our large format Metal Storm CNC machines, but we have made the power of the Nighthawk available to everyone whether you’re upgrading from an existing controller or just starting out!
PLEASE NOTE: Our team can pre-configure the current and micro-stepping settings for you so it’s ready to plug in, straight out of the box. Please let us know the current of your stepper motors in the notes at checkout! Otherwise the Nighthawk controller will be set to 3amp by default.

While the Nighthawk can interface with most VFDs and Laser modules on the market, CNC3D cannot offer technical support for any 3rd party appliances, you should contact your vendor or manufacturer for help with these items.
Some VFDs, Like Huanyang (HY) and Invertek VFD's may only allow the VFD to run one direction, not both, i.e: clockwise only.
All Nighthawk Controllers are tested and QC Checked prior to being shipped, this includes a VFD and Laser control test as well as all wireless communications. If a controller does not pass our testing it does not leave our factory.

Although I'm still working on the integration with my 'not exactly standard' system setup, I'm so excited about getting my CNC fired up again! CNC3D is amazing, and went out of their way to navigate the waters of global trade to find affordable shipping alternatives to the United States.

Thanks to CNC3D as my Nighthawk CNC Controller arrived sooner than expected, well packaged and protected and ready for action. My experiences with it thus far have convinced me that it is well built, well thought out, and very flexible for a mixed range of applications. There is an impressive heat sink and a filtered fan that is most suitable for Wood dust, Aluminium flecks, and perhaps even LASER smoke, all of which I hope you would ventilate away from the controller. Thanks Guys!
Coming from extensive tinkering with a CNC setup I got about fourth-hand, I finally bit the bullet and got a Nighthawk. My only regret is not doing it years ago. It largely ‘just works’ - and for any wobbles, I cannot emphasise enough how good the support is. My CNC is not a CNC3D machine - but there’s no second-tier support here: if you have a Nighthawk, you’re their customer, and you get their full support. This thing is a steal at this price, just do it.
I purchased this in the hope that the issues encountered with other controllers would get resolved. I was not disappointed. The Nighthawk controller and Commander software worked flawlessly and allowed full VFD/Spindle control. I am sorry that I didn't purchase the Nighthawk originally as it would have saved a huge amount of time (and headaches).
