Accessing Your Account Preferences: Pleasant Surprise

Wanting to see what kind of control I had, I went into my account settings. Discovered possibilities that caught me off guard:

  • Maximum deposits per day, week, and month Perhaps I could establish

  • Reminders for session length - set to sound when a certain amount of time has passed playing

  • choice of self-exclusion Cool-off periods, whether temporary or permanent,

  • Preferences for bonuses — Ability to decline certain sorts of promotions

  • Communication options - Granular control over what emails/SMS I received

Responsible gambling tools up and centre, not hidden in tiny text. That's when you realise a platform isn't primarily concerned with making as much money as possible off of its users.

The Parts I Enjoyed Most About It All

Quickness: 3 minutes or less to get from webpage to game play

Honesty: All components are named and there are no hidden processes

Choice of several currencies (including AUD, USD, EUR, NZD, BTC, ETH, and USDT) for maximum flexibility

There are no waiting periods; you may get your $10 bonus right now.

Smart verification: Request papers only when they are really necessary, such as during the withdrawal process.

Continual bonuses: Without entering any codes, the system automatically placed a 50% bonus on my Monday deposit.

Ideal for mobile devices: Stopped over after lunch to complete the signup process; everything went well.

Being Honest, What Could Have Worked Better? Very little. Assuming I'm being picky:

  • Consider incorporating biometric authentication methods like Face ID and fingerprint scans into mobile apps for added safety and convenience.

  • It wouldn't hurt to provide a "2-minute platform tour" option for complete beginners.

  • While social registration (like Google or Facebook login) would be a little benefit, it would save typing in email addresses and passwords.

As it is, the core experience far outstrips the competition.

The Test for "Forgot Password"

I tried their password recovery feature since I am meticulous (and little paranoid). Within 45 seconds of clicking "Forgot Password" on the thepokies 117 net Australia login  page and entering my email, I received a reset link. I pressed it, made a new password, and then signed in again. Time required: less than two minutes.

All it takes is a support ticket and a few days at certain casinos to get your password back. It was as if by magic.

What I Think First-Timers Should Do

My recommendation for first-time users of Pokies117:

  • Provide accurate information; this will make verification easier in the future.

  • Pick a robust password — their strength indicator may help you with this.

  • Quickly confirm your email — it only takes 30 seconds — to prevent problems down the road

  • Take advantage of the $10 no-deposit offer and try out titles without putting any money down.

  • Limit your deposits — no matter how high — to encourage ethical gambling.

  • It is strongly advised that you use two-factor authentication, which can be found in the security settings.

  • If you want to get the most out of your initial deposit bonus — for example, Friday's 75% bonus up to $1,000 AUD — be sure to check the schedule for each day.

The Final Verdict

Before I could even access the game library, the registration process at some casinos took twenty minutes or more and asked me to provide documents. Within three minutes of making my initial deposit, Pokies 117 had me playing premium slots with a ten dollar bonus and was immediately paying me for my trouble.

Every casino makes the "quick and easy" promise, but few truly follow through. This platform values your time and doesn't bury you with verification bureaucracy up front.

The registration process at https://thepokies117casino.net/account is not only simple, but it really sets the standard for other platforms to follow.

3D scanning features & measurements | digitizing with a z

Hi Guys,

I just bought a probe digitizer in the hopes of pulling some x,y,z, measurements off of parts.

Finding software to do this is hard but currently I am trialing "GRBL Plotter" with "Surface Scan".

The friendly guys at CNC3D have helped me with the nighthawk, its going well so far but this controller looks for PNP inputs (my probe is NPN). I will get a NPN-PNP converter (also conveniently available from CNC3D). The nighthawk has two inputs for "Probe" (Signal +12V | Ground), these digitizing probes have a third wire for the +12V "Power", middle wire "Signal", then "Ground"

More info here minus the background noise: https://discuss.inventables.com/t/3-wire-3d-touch-probe/140839

I hope to get this setup and working, theres not a lot of user friendly digitising programs out there but others ive heard of are bCNC and some Mach3 stuff. Cheers!

So it worked! The touch probe I used requires a higher force in the Z-direction so the part moved more before a reading was taken. I used hard foam as a bed to avoid probe damage from any stray movements, but now the program is dialed in I might be able to forego this.

The other option is to come in from the side, as these touch probes are more sensitive in the x-y direction. You are limited by geometry of the part this way, however.

Might have a go at reducing the spring tension in a probe, but bCNC and the nighthawk (with the converter) works quite well so far!! Pretty cool.

Making custom boxes

Has anyone looked at using a YouCarve with the laser and Lightburn software (or other CNC machine here) to make custom cardboard boxes.
