CNC Tech-Tip - A simple Easel hack for better finish on alloys when doing pockets

In this video we cover a very simple and easy way to get an excellent bottom finish on alloys when performing pocket cuts on your CNC.

The secret to a good bottom finish when pocketing is to make sure you do not overload your tool. This will reduce typical chatter you may see on some hobby CNC machines.

It is important to note that selecting the right grade of alloy is also very important. 5083 and 6061 are excellent alloys for CNC machining. In this video, we are using 6060, which is a bit softer and a bit trickier to work with. The good news is, we ended up with an excellent result because of using this hack. :)

I hope this video has been helpful, leave us a note in the comments if there are any videos you would like us to make and we'll try our best to get more handy content out there. :D
