CNC3D Commander build 349
Released 18 August 2026. Version 1.1 build 349 of CNC3D Commander and the CNC3D Design Suite: 5 new features, 1 bug fix, a NightHawk firmware update. Download the latest build (free, Windows).
New features
New G-code Wizard. Open it from the Job Info screen to edit any G-code job line by line with a live 3D preview. Scale, rotate, mirror or move the whole program, adjust Z depths, feed rates and spindle speed for the entire job or just the lines you select, convert arcs to lines, delete lines, and insert your own command blocks with guided templates. It works with G-code from any software, and the result loads straight back into Commander or uploads to your machine's SD card.
Job tiling has been added to the Gcode Wizard.
The G-code Wizard colours each tile and tool in its own colour, in both the 3D view and the code list, and a new overview bar beside the list shows the whole job at a glance. Click or drag on it to jump through the program.
Design suite: the Shape Copier has a new spacing mode, centre to centre, alongside the existing edge spacing, for exact-pitch rows and grids.
CNC3D design suite: the Center start point is now two clear choices, Center of Stock and Center of Job. Both stay live, so the rulers and the exported zero always match what you see, even after resizing the stock or moving shapes.
Nighthawk Firmware Update to V3.0 & Web Interface 1.8
Faster and smoother machine status updates. The controller now streams its status instead of waiting to be asked, which fixes jog stutter and dropouts for web control and third party senders.
Fixed a crash that could happen when a firmware update was uploaded from the Web UI.
Better support diagnostics, including showing exactly which devices are connected to the controller.
Web interface now supports easy break outs of all extended Nighthawk settings.
Bug fixes
CNC3D design suite: fixed the ruler zero pointing at an out of date position after resizing the stock while using a Center start point.
