CNC3D Commander build 353

Released 4 September 2026. Version 1.1 build 353 of CNC3D Commander and the CNC3D Design Suite: 5 bug fixes. Download the latest build (free, Windows).

Bug fixes

  • Backlash Compensation and Input Shaping are back for every NightHawk running firmware 2.5 or later. Build 352 wrongly limited both categories to the NightHawk S3. Only the accelerometer auto-tune section inside Input Shaping stays S3-only, because that hardware only exists on the S3.

  • Fixed a crash when Setup and prepare this Job, the outline Trace, Height Mapping or the G-code Wizard was opened before Commander had finished reading the job. Those buttons now show a short message until the job details are ready.

  • Setting a start line for an SD card job (Setup / Info, then Setup and prepare this Job) locks the job selection again in every Commander mode until you run the job or click Cancel Job Setup. Clicking the file list can no longer reset the requested start line back to 1.

  • Applying Backlash Compensation settings now finishes on controllers that reject the optional A, B or C axis values instead of stopping part-way through, so the distances you enter are the distances the controller keeps.

  • Fixed a bug starting a job from specific line on SD card jobs.
