Released 26 October 2026. Version 1.1 build 361 of CNC3D Commander and the CNC3D Design Suite: 4 new features, 4 bug fixes. Download the latest build (free, Windows).

New features

  • Design Suite: 3D carve exports now show a progress bar with a Cancel button and write straight to the file, so a big relief no longer freezes the Suite.

  • Design Suite: before a very big 3D carve export, a warning shows the file size and cutting time and suggests a bigger stepover or finishing tool.

  • Design Suite: the CNC3D YouCarve is now in the Machine menu.

  • AI Assistant: support questions are now answered from CNC3D's own Support FAQs, support pages and YouTube videos, with a link to the article or video.

Bug fixes

  • Design Suite: 3D carve finishing follows the relief more closely, with no stair-steps on slopes, and tapered tools no longer dig into the tops of steep walls.

  • Design Suite: big 3D carve exports use about a quarter of the memory they did.

  • Router: a chamfer or second profile on a shape with tabs now lifts over those tabs instead of carving through them.

  • Commander: the firmware update offer now shows once per connect instead of again on every SD card Refresh.
